There's something irresistible about preserving autumn's fleeting beauty in a way you can enjoy year after year. I wanted to create a project that would teach you the magical art of wet felting while making something truly stunning for your home.

Wet felting is one of those crafts that feels almost alchemical – you start with fluffy clouds of wool, add warm water and soap, and through the simple motion of your hands, create something solid and sculptural. It's meditative, cozy, and utterly satisfying. Perfect for those golden autumn afternoons when you want to slow down and create something meaningful.

After designing and testing different approaches, I've created a banner project that's both achievable and impressive. Each leaf comes together with techniques you'll use forever, and those real acorn caps? They add an authentic woodland touch that makes the whole piece feel like you brought the forest home.
